INTRODUCING SUN PROTECTION INC

Current sunscreens are short-lasting, need reapplication, and are not water-resistant. We are developing novel long lasting sunscreens.

Did you know?

  • The tan visible on your skin is your body's attempt to protect itself from the damage of ultraviolet (UV) radiation

  • Ultraviolet radiation; a proven human carcinogen can cause cancer

  • Excessive UV radiation exposure can damage DNA within your skin cells and can furthermore lead to skin cancer

"Prevention is better than cure."
                                                                     –Desiderius Erasmus

To understand how UV radiation can lead to skin cancer let’s look at what you need to know about types of sunrays and their effect on human skin. Ultraviolet rays are categorized into two primary types – UVA and UVB. Exposure to UVA causes premature wrinkles and skin aging while UVB exposure can cause sunburn. Consequently, both UVA and UVB exposure leads to skin cancer.

CURRENT PIPELINE

1) We are using Machine Learning in collaboration with Persist AI to develop delayed release microspheres of API. This will provide a longer lasting UV block

2) We are using another API, which is a natural compound that have sun protective, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory effects. We are trying to optimize use of lignins in sunscreen

3) Use Machine Learning to identify drugs for treatment of skin with field cancerization
